My Story ~


While working toward enhanced certifications, education and teaching experience for the last twenty-three years, serving my community as an Aquatic Exercise instructor at private pools during summer months, instructing Group Fitness and Personal Training, and serving as leader of our local Good Health Support Group for senior women, I have gained the gift of invaluable experience and irreplaceable wisdom, particularly teaching and interacting with the older, and elder, generation. While working on personal goals I have trained for and participated in  and I advocate FUN sporting events such as: Sprint Triathlons, Group Cycling events, 5ks, 10ks, half-marathons & one full, Nashville's Inaugural 'Country Music Marathon' in 2000 (could that really be TWENTY YEARS AGO?).


I enjoy many hobbies, and always want to encourage others to enjoy the pure pleasure of movement. Some of my favorites are: mountain biking and road cycling, swimming, walking and running 5ks, Tae Kwan Do, indoor rock climbing, dancing, music lessons, grandchildren, and family time.

  • Balanced Body Inc. Pilates Certifications in Mat I & II and Trapeze Table/Cadillac

  • Certified Brain Fitness Specialist with American Senior Fitness Association

  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor & ARC Lifeguard Certified
